Riding through Garden of the Gods

Friends, this Colorado trip has been mucho bueno so far.
Breakfast today was a kick-ass bowl of oatmeal, made by sister Annie.
She included chia seeds, pumpkin pie spice and chunky PB. Mmmm!
Along with iced coffee, it was just what I needed to fuel up for the day's activity...
A 3 hour horseback ride through Garden of the Gods Park!
Even though I've done this ride two times before, the natural beauty of this park takes my breath away. Plus, there's something unique about getting out and going on an adventure all by my lonesome. Post-ride, I feel re-centered!
Special thanks to wrangler Rusty for the great camaraderie today.
It was great to get outdoors for a good chunk of time and get my legs and lungs warmed up for tomorrow's main event... the Pikes Peak Challenge!
Next up.. snoogling with this sweetie and prepping for the PPC kickoff rally. See ya tonight!

Glad to hear you enjoyed Garden of the Gods! It's such a beautiful, amazing place....one of my fav spots to take a hike or a (annoyingly tough) run. :) Good luck on the PPC tomorrow!
